Spray Foam Removal Liverpool is a local specialist team that removes spray foam insulation from lofts across Liverpool and Merseyside. We take the foam off by hand, check the roof timbers once they are exposed, and give homeowners a written report with photos that they can pass to a surveyor or lender.
What we do
Our work centres on one problem: spray polyurethane foam on the underside of a roof that is now causing worry, whether because a sale or remortgage has stalled, because there are signs of damp, or because a roofer cannot get at the tiles. Our main service is loft spray foam removal, for both soft open-cell foam and rigid closed-cell foam. Around that we offer a spray foam survey and inspection for people who want to understand what they have before deciding anything, practical help when spray foam is affecting a mortgage, and re-insulating the loft once the foam has gone.
You can find an overview of everything on our spray foam removal Liverpool homepage.
Where we work
We cover Liverpool and the wider Merseyside area – Sefton, Knowsley, St Helens and the Wirral – plus Widnes. That takes in everything from Victorian terraces with shallow slate-roofed lofts to inter-war semis with hipped roofs and post-war homes on the edge of the city. The full list is on our areas we cover page.
Depending on location and the work needed, the job may be carried out by one of the independent local specialists we work with; we will always tell you who is coming.
How a job runs
Every job follows the same basic pattern. We call you back and ask about the house, the foam and any deadline you are working to. We arrange to look at the loft, then explain your options and give you a written quote. If you go ahead, the foam is cut and scraped away by hand, bagged and taken away for disposal. Once the roof underside is clean, we look at the rafters, battens and felt or membrane and moisture-check the timber. Finally, you get a written report with photos.
What you can expect from us
- Clear communication. We explain what we are going to do before we do it, and tell you straight away if we find something unexpected.
- Care inside your home. We protect the hatch area and access route, work from joists and boards, and take care not to damage ceilings below.
- A tidy finish. Foam is bagged as we go and taken away, and the loft is left swept clear.
- A written record. The report sets out what was removed and what we found, so you are not relying on anyone’s memory.
Our approach: careful, tidy and honest
Spray foam has caused a lot of worry for homeowners, and some of it has been made worse by hard selling on both sides – first to put foam in, then to take it out. We try to do the opposite. If we look at your loft and think the foam may not need removing right now, we will say so, and suggest you check with your lender or broker what they actually need before you spend money. Sometimes an inspection is enough.
We are equally plain about what we cannot do. We cannot promise what a lender will decide; that is always their call. If we find damaged felt, battens or decayed timber under the foam, we will tell you and explain that it needs a roofer or joiner. And we do not touch suspected asbestos – if old loose-fill insulation might contain vermiculite, it needs testing first.
